Hobbiton, Nueva Zelanda.El Señor de los Anillos:

“En un agujero en el suelo vivía un hobbit…” Memorable frase que dio comienzo a una de las más reconocidas obras de Tolkien, “El Hobbit”, llevada recientemente por Peter Jackson a la gran pantalla, quien ya hizo lo propio con “El Señor de los Anillos”.

Todas estas historias transcurren en La Tierra Media, y hoy estáis de suerte, podéis caminar por ella. Habrá que trasladarse a Nueva Zelanda, en medio del Océano Pacífico en el hemisferio Sur. Allí es donde se llevó a cabo la totalidad del rodaje de estas sagas y hoy en concreto iremos a un lugar muy específico y reconocible, Hobbiton, el hogar de Frodo y Bilbo Bolsón.

En la población ganadera de Matamata se encuentra la granja Alexander y es allí donde nos espera, aún erguido, el set de rodaje de Hobbiton como atractivo turístico.

La granja cuenta con 500 hectáreas de verdes praderas, lagos y colinas donde excavados encontramos los hogares de los hobbits con sus parterres para las flores y sus huertos para las hortalizas. Hasta el más mínimo detalle que vimos en las películas nos lo encontraremos allí, pues recordemos que no es una réplica, sino ¡exactamente el mismo paraje!

La visita nos llevará a multitud de agujeros hobbit, Bolsón Cerrado, el puente del molino que en su día cruzara Gandalf el Gris e incluso podremos disfrutar de una buena cerveza y almuerzo en la posada de “El Dragón Verde”. Además, podremos conocer los detalles de la producción de las películas gracias a los comentarios de los guías que nos acompañarán en nuestro recorrido.
